Now that it is not Easter, I would think for those who have eaten too little, a tuna sandwhich i.e. upon a piece of bread lots of canned tuna fish, might be the kind of food they need.

Fasting relates with a smaller need of foods because of living wisely and searching for the right nutritients, also by sticking to company which lives wisely enough. If one has excess fat that one wants to get rid of it ought not be fasting but instead normal dier in which loss of body far replaces part of the food's fat. Eating quite little (but not hungry?) at such occasion may make it easier to admire small new green leaves amids the dead grasses by bending to look close where thete is an impression of green. One reason for fasting is to remembee one's life as young, so one mYbe knows what kind of help the young need.
Of spring in southern Finland, my impression is that much of the signs of spring are in April. In March the snow melts largely, and from 1st of April onwards one ought to dress warmly enough but bend down to look anything greenish in the ground level, touch the grasses with one's fingertips, look at the bushes' and trees' buds developing, listen to the weathers varying. And so 1st of May would feel like summer atmosphere having come.
